Couldn't find this in search feature but might have missed it. You mentioned this combination but I couldn't find any specifics. There's a lot there on Blue Dot in the 30-06. I noticed you stopped at 27/28 grains of Blue Dot with 150 grain bullets. Would this be a good starting point with 125s and do you recall what you considered the most effective or accurate 125 BT load? As a side note I've had good shooting with your 223 Blue Dot loads and saved some money on powder. Appreciate your research.

I'll answer for him - NO! Do not start at 27/28 gr. with 125 gr. bullets and work up, you will run pressures into dangerous range. The 27/28 gr. is max load no matter the bullet weight. The data is basically the same charges, even with different weights of bullets. I had very good results with 125 BTs on top of 22 gr. of Blue Dot. Very accurate, negligible recoil.

No problem, I'd hate to see pics of your rifle looking like the rifle blow up thread from a double charge of Blue Dot. Again, I'll echo Seafire - charge a case - seat a bullet. Don't do a whole loading block. I did it once, used the flashlight to check for double charges, realized I couldn't get much depth perception with that little of powder in a .30-06. I dumped them all and started over.

I missed this somehow.. but I have really been quite sick this past month.. and have some other issues that are dogging me in life right now...

As far as safe loads with Blue Dot in the 06 with 125 grain ballistic tips, I'd recommend a max of 24 grains just to be on the safe side of things..

you can work up toward 26 grains in 2/10 grain increments, but for real world figures, I don't think you will gain much...

24 grains will probably put you in the 38K to 40 K range on pressure...with a 125 grain bullet, according to what someone said when they ran it on QuickLoad..

remember to work up from a lower point...

also I highly recommend the procedure of charging a case, and then seating the bullet before going onto the next case...
this will eliminate a chance of a double charge... and please refer to the thread I posted about a member of another site not paying attention and accidently double charging a 257 Weatherby...and it blew up the gun....

you might also want to consider using SR 4759 instead...a charge of 25 to 30 grains will also give you what you are looking for.. published max for a 125 grainer and SR 4759 is 35 grains...
so at 25 to 30 you are being real safe...
