Deer be damned, that's on heck of a moose or elk load.
150 Partition and 61 grains R-22. It's an elk load, for deer I use the .270 Win.
Deer be damned??? So you're saying I have waaay to much gun because I'm shooting a 150 gr. bullet out of a 270 wsm at deer? Guess I just don't quite follow.
still my fav.............................DJ
Win Brass 72.0 gr of MagPro , WLRM . Nosler 140 gr Accubond
Rem brass, Fed 215M, ?gr H4831/H4831SC (have used both with no difference), 130gr TSX - ~3200fps & ~1" at 200yds in my M70 SS Classic.
still my fav.............................DJ
Mine too 'cept I use the 130 NAB. Nets me 3,275 fps.
Thanks again for the load.
63.5grs of V100 behind a Hornady 100gr SP; Remington brass; CCI LRM primers.
This was the most accurate load out to 100 yards (no chrono). My cousin shot it out to 300yards and it was still a laser shot to the target.
As usual, work up your load...

I'm glad it's working for you. Have you shot any critters with it yet?...............DJ
Nope. Seems like I'm always carrying a different gun when I have the opportunity to pull the trigger.
Two years and that's the only load I've worked up in that gun - and I've never killed with that gun.
Maybe one of these days.
I do know that I could go up at least another grain- I'm not maxed out by any means - but @ 3,275 and 1/2" groups, I'm good.

+1. I will take accuracy over velocity with better shot placement any day of the week. Besides with that velocity and weight, you're still looking at 3000+ pounds of energy with a proven boolet. Sounds like you got a winner.
