Do any of you use this combo? If so, what kind of performance have you seen?

Looking forward to this.

I found a good load with IMR4007SC. Have only killed paper however. 53.3g after ladder testing gave me 0.6MOA accuracy at 200 yards. A smig over 3550 fps out of my 24 inch barrel.

Load over max, so please work up.

I rolled some of these in 25-06 a couple of weeks ago. 80 grain ttsx, BR2 primers, Winchester case, 62 grains 4831sc, book says 3659 fps. I was shooting them out of a Tikka T3 1-10 twist and got 3515 fps avg. This load shot great. I only tested load at 100 yrds and was sub moa for 6 shots. Elevation was excellent, probably in the .2's. Windage not so good but it was probably because of the trigger puller, .8.
I am going to try some RL-22 in the near future and will report back.

Forgot to tell the best part. Shot two whitetails with this load. Both were drt. Not a step. I have shot a lot of whitetails with a lot of different calibers and this is my new favorite load.

Seems like the "light for caliber" ttsx's are shooting good accross the board. I played with some 130 ttsx in my 308,'06, and win mag and all shot very good with almost any powder tried.

Yeah, the heavier tsx's, the 100's and the 115's did not shoot as well in my 25-06. But the 80's ttsx's get the job done and impressively.

I have not tried them in a 2506 but in both of my 257wm they have worked great. 3 bucks 3 does and a pig non went more then 50 yards. I had my first one break up yesterday, I had just worked up a new load for my Mark V with a mv of 4161fps the bullet hit the backbone and I had 3 exit holes. I have taken a buck with it to 394 yards. Out of all my large rifles these are my favorites.
one gun groups .33 at 3850 fps
other one groups .51 at 4161 fps

257 weatherby, those are some impressive speeds! I wonder what the 110 gr TTSX would do out of a 270 Wby?

Interesting.

I am loading the 80 grain Tipped TSX in my 25-06 with 59 grains of IMR 4831. I am getting 3600 fps and great groups.
I just have not had the chance to shoot any game with them as of yet.

I did watch my dad kill an antelope at a lasered 586 yards using the 80 grain Tipped TSX in August. He was shooting them at 3900 fps from his .257 Weatherby Mag. That goat never even kicked, dead on impact!

I used a 270 WSM mag on the same trip shooting 110 grain Tipped TSX bullets at 3600 fps and they dropped my antelope quite nicely as well. (Heck, I sneaked to within 200 yards of mine.)

Those tipped TSX bullets seem to be working pretty well.

I had much better luck with Retumbo and 100 TSX's in mine.

Load?

Marcus, my load for my 270 WSM using the 110 TTSX is:

Winchester case
Fed215M primer
67 grains IMR 4350
110 grain Tipped TSX
OAL 2.82 inches

I would suggest you start a couple grain below this, this is pretty much a maximum load.

I have used the exact same 270WSM load (110TSX and IMR 4350) with the same results on several deer, pigs, and Axis. Great penetration, instant or almost instant kills, awesome accuracy, and low felt recoil in my Kimber. On one hog, the penetration was across the body from left front shoulder to right rear quarter panel.
