i havent loaded lighter then 150s in the 3006. but i also have rifles that shoot 110gr weight bullets very well. these bullets are hi bc bullets. thel shoot flatter and buck the wind better the 110 triple shocks or tipped triple shocks

id did do some varmit slash deer loads in my 3006 useing 150gr noler bts these loads were acurate and killed coyotes and varmits on a regular basis.

as i type this i thought of a good use for useing a tough triple shock type bullet weighing 110grs in the 3006 , a reduced load for new shooter to begin deer hunting with but to still have enough ommph to take deer and elk with well placed shots

I have some 110 tsx sitting here but have only played with them in my 308 vtr with 20" barrel. It was no problem getting over 3200 fps with them in that little barrel so I'm thinking some pretty awesome speed is avail to the 06'. Accuracy was very good but this little bugger has a 1:12 twist and seems to really like 150 and under flat based bullets of any kind.

For what it's worth, I did some load work in my 30-06 with moly'd 110gr VMax. Easy 3570 fps from 22.5" bbl, via RL15.

How was the accuracy, and what rifle/twist rate were you using?

Rifle is a Rem 700 with a 1/10 twist Douglas #7 contour.

3570 fps at 22.5" (I cut it)

3750 fps at 26.5"
