please let me know how it shot, terminal performance
Haven`t tried the IB but the std 129gr Inter-Lok shoots well and works like magic on whitetail from 260 Rems and 6.5x55s in my limited experience.
My 264 win likes the Inter-lok's Muledeer on the other hand hate them!
Really!? Man in almost every forum the go-to #1 recomended for the 260 is the 129 Interlock. I have been using 140 Sierras to perfection and also have a load for the 120 nbt but just have a hard time using bt's on deer even though I know I know I know
6.5x55 - H4831sc & 129g Interlock. They're scary accurate, deer seem to drop pretty quick if you hit 'em in the lungs too.

dang thats nasty
The 129 grain Hornady SpirePoints are 1 of my favorite .264" bore bullets for medium game. I have found them to work well in the 260, 6.5-284, 6.5x55, 256 Newton, and 6.5-06.

I'm a lung shooter, so I expect through & through penetration with a quarter size exit wound. The typical results are scrambled lungs, a large spray of blood on the offside, and a blood trail of from 0 to 50 feet.

The 129 grain Hornady is sort of the universal bullet for the medium case capacity 6.5s. A little too big for varmints and a little too small for elks, but if you only have 1 bullet choice in the 6.5, this would be it.

Jeff - do you have a pet load for the 129s in 6.5x55? I have some time now to work on load development and have been wanting to do something with the 129s. As a footnote, if anyone has a 6.5x55 recipe for 100 gr. bullets I'd be intersted in that as well.
Out of my 6.5x284, the 129 SPs blow a red mist out the off side of deer and make the chest cavity look like strawberry jam inside.

Tim - Same with 140s out of the 6.5x55. I have a box of 129s and I want to see what I can work up that my rifle likes.
Rooster.....I use 49g of H4831sc, Lapua hulls and R9 1/2s for ignition with both 129g SP and 130g AB's. I have also used 46g imr4350 with both bullets too.

I just picked up a pound of RL19 and looking to give it a try this spring, just out of curiosity. I don't think it will be any better than H4831sc though.
Interbonds are on their way back. A dealer in Alberta tells me $64-$65 per hundred Canadian$$
48, 49, 50 grains H4831 and the 129 IB all seem to hold promise and regularly drop three into an inch from my M70. Their obvious violent expansion on bottled water makes me wonder if edible flesh is where I want to point them, but I expect they would do the killing part just fine.

I tried some other fuels as well, but H4831 seems to hold favor.

Agreed.
I shot one whitetail with a 85 grain Interbond in 243. Pass-through penetration with a half-dollar exit hole. Good expansion but nothing that blew apart.

Would you use the IB again?

Yes, I would. It worked very well IMO.
I have used 130 grain interbond in 270 wsm, and 139 grain interbond in 7MM SAUM both with excellent results. I aplied a finisher to a buck at point blank range with the SAUM, and the bullet held together with a starting speed of 3150.

RL 19 gives me better velocity in my 6.5x55 than H4831. I just can't seem to find the right load for the 129 hornady. I've wasted much powder trying. I like the 130 scirrocco and 130 Sierra hpbt.
