I'm wondering about the powders for this combination. I have IMR4831, IMR 4350, H4831SC, & RL22 on hand. From loading books dating back to the late 50s, it seems that H4831 is the hands down best powder to be using. That being said, the newer manuals differ by showing other powders being better suited for the 200 gr Nosler.
So, I'm looking for real world experience using these bullets, and hitting 2800 fps, combined with 1" or better accuracy (in your rifles of course!!)

RL-22 with H4831 a second choice. For 200gr bullets, about 69gr ought to do it.
Worked up to 64 gr H4350 with the 200's and was happy.
70.0 grs H-4831 SC with the 200 gr Swift A Frame of Nosler Partition will run 2900 fps in my old 26" barreled M-70 Winchester 300 H&H and shoot under an inch every time in calm conditions.

Well, I loaded up 69.0 - 71.0 grains of H4831 behind the 200 gr Nosler Part. for my first testing. If I can manage a 1", or sub 1" group at 2800 fps, I won't go any further.
Gunner, your recommendation is very similar to Ken Walters "Pet Loads", though his is at 71 grains of H4831 for top accuracy.

I started loading for my pre64 m70 300h&h with h4831 and 200 partitions and had such good results I haven't tried much else. 70 and 71 gr shot equally well but I did notice primer pockets starting to get loose after the second loading with 71 gr. I've settled on 70 gr and use it in 3 different rifles all with great results.

My 300 Improved likes 7828ssc with the heavies, but it might be a bit different scenario.
