They seem to be sensitive to seating depth IME what works in your loads?

Bought some Nosler Factory 300 WSM, 180 gr AB and noticed they were seated very deep, my 300 WSM is very fussy. Know most 300 WSM,s do not have much throat how far do you seat NAB off lands for accuracy?

Nosler Ballistic Tips seem less fussy on seating depth.
I haven't noticed any difference between Solid Base, Ballistic Tip, Partition or Accubond in that respect.
I usually start out with .030" jump and most often don't need to change from that.
I use mostly Nosler bullets.

I'm jumping them a damn mile in my 270 WSM Montana and they do about 1/2".
I always start with a kiss or .003 off, only one way to go if that doesn't work. More times than not, that depth is where good accuracy comes. That said, some pipes do well with many diff depths.

+1 on the kiss or .0030" bit, although "at mag box length" is a commonly used option too. I sometimes have no clue about the jump and seat them out as far as feed/functioning will allow....
I'm .010 off the lands in 1 7mm and .2 off in another and .35 off in a 300wm but have no option there because of the magazine.

I agree with Reloader7RM start long and work it back.
In my 30-06s and 338wm they are do not seem at all sensitive to seating depth.

Odd

Snake

In my 300 Win. mag. I had to seat the A/B deeper than the Nosler B/T.
Im with you temmi, my .270 shows no real big difference in seating but I do seat at 3.34 oal.

Same here, between .050 and .1 seems to work for most of my AB loads. I usually start out a little closer, but end up backing up to make them consistent.
JMHO here, but I believe that some bullet jump (vs touching lands) smooths out the pressure curve spike and also allows me to get a little more velocity than the jam fit.
Again, jmho

I start at .030" off for just about any bullet, AB or otherwise. Then I sneak in to .020" off, if needed.

+1 on the mag box length. My .300WM likes the 200gr NAB's at 3.625" which is the max length in the HS Precision DBM that they feed and cycle smoothly. And that is still short of the lands by more than 0.030"...
I always start about .030" off and work in and out in .010". My most recent success was .010" off with the 130 gr in 6.5x47 Lapua.

I just had my .300WSM barrel rechambered so I can now kiss at mag length with the 168 Amax.
I agree with the folks who start with a kiss and work back if need be. It seldom does need to be deeper IME.

Thanks Dustylongshot (Earl)!!
