Looking to load up some 165gr. Accubond and 168gr. BT. I know every gun is different but I've had great results and saved components using pet loads from others on here. Starting lower and working up of course. Ideally I'd like a hunting load 165 AB and a target load 168gr. BT "not the ones labeled hunting" that use the same charge and same setting on my seating die. Same poi too. Not asking for much. Lol.
Can't provide data with '19 but I would use something a little slower burn rate. My 300 liked '17 and H1000.
64.0 grains of R-19 pushing a 165 grain accubond.
Thanks guys. I've had really good results with H4350 and the 150 Accubond but if you never try others you'll never find better.
Mine likes 64.5 gr of H4350. Why change what works!

Cause I can get rl19 for less than a 20 spot
With H4350 mine will print less than 1/2" groups! I'll get paying 25.00 for H4350.
About the best I can get with mine is with 66gr. H4350 just under a inch with the 150's I'll have to give the 165's a try with the 4350.
Haven't worked too much with the 165's in the 300WSM, other than for my buddies M70 EW 300WSM. I used H100V and tried IMR4350 as well. H100V shot about the best at 3130 or so. I run alot of RL19 for the 180 AB's though, it is really accurate in my rifle and runs right at 3030 in my rifle. When I visited the Nosler factory, their head ballistician saif RL19 was THE powder for the 300WSM.
I load 165gr bullets in my 300WSM.I haven't tried Reloader-19,but this may help get you a starting point.Mine shoots 3015fps with 65.0grs of IMR-4350,3070fps with 67.0grs of Ramshot Hunter and 3030fps with 69.0grs of Reloader-22.If you look at the burnrate chart

,Ramshot Hunter is right next to Reloader-19.These loads are not maxed out but shoot real well in my rifle.
Thanks for the burn rates
With mine, 67.5 grains of RL-19 and 165 ABs gave me right at 3,100 fps and produced 3-shot groups that hovered around 1 inch at 100 yds. For elk, I ended up going with 200 ABs and 69.0 grains of IMR 7828sc which gave me 1/2-inch 3-shot groups and 3,0000 fps. YMMV.

Wow, 3000 with 7828 huh? Might have to give RL22 a try and see if I get close. I wanna try out the 200 AB's as soon as I get back. What length barrel on your rifle? COAL?
Thanks for any intel you can send.
The rifle was a CZ Model 3 with a 24-inch barrel. COAL was 3.303 inches. I set the seating depth using a Stoney Point (now Hornady) O.A.L. tool and the .308 collet. That is the measurement that I record on label.
I just miked a couple of the loaded rounds: the overall length of a loaded cartridge (base of the case to tip of the bullet) is 2.930 inches.
Thank you very much Mudhen. I can get out to 3.05" AOL in my Model 70, so it seems like I should be able to get enough powder behind the bullet. Man, the gives me some hope I should reach 2900 pretty easy.

Nosler has not tried RL 17 yet, when they do they will see that RL 17 is the powder for the 300 wsm.
I tried RL17, speeds were excellent for me and accuracy was pretty decent, but not RL19. I am sure it works well though. I also tried RL17 with the 168 ET and it was shotgun like, but the same loads with RL19 were quarter sized. Probably just my rifle though.

Damn, that's a smoking hot load for those 200 AB's....You could pile drive the hell out of an elk with that load

My pet load of 66.5 gr RL 17 and the 165 gr ttsx runs 3160 and groups run under an inch. I tried RL 19 with the 200 gr nosler, could not even reach 2800 without signs of pressure.

That's the plan!
