I am looking for some load information for the Nosler E-tip Copper 130 grain bullets for the 270 Winchester (having the same info for the 270 WSM would be good too). A friend is hunting in condor country this year and we are trying to develop a load for his Savage 110 in 270 Winchester. Does anyone have some load information to share for this bullet? I have the Nosler Reload manual #7, but would like to see if anyone has done some loadings for this already. Given the powder shortage on the shelves, this will help focus our own development and minimize costs.

This bullet is built from gilding metal, the same stuff most jacketed bullets use for their jackets. Therefore it's like shooting any other bullet, as far as the fouling goes. It's not copper.

Shot them, GMXs, TSXs and TTSXs in two proven accurate rifles in 270 WCF and 30-06.

No real difference in accuracy, velocity or fouling (used Barnes data).

The GMX uses a "copper alloy" and has pressure reduction bands (like Barnes).

One thing to keep in mind is that they are all "long for weight", so a 270 150 gr Barnes will not shoot well in a 1 in 10" 270.

Info for a 270 WSM and WCF are essentially interchangable in modern rifles. (start low and work up)

No pressure data to prove it but it would seem that the bands in the Barnes and Hornady would provide less bore friction than the solid Nosler.

If the game is small (Blacktails ?), the range under 300, the 110 gr TSX @3500 fps in a 270 is a deadly killer. (63.5 of Hunter and a Federal GM210M)
W760/H414 and 4350 are also fine choices.

Condor are kinda "chewy" aren't they ?
