I'm getting back into reloading and need a scale. What say you?

Gave up on the digital went back to the balance beam

I jus bought this LEE.
I hope it works out. I wish it would weight over 100 grains for bullets. [Linked Image]

That's the scale I use. It's adequate, but the little tab you push in to hold it in place is flimsy.

Is there even a reason to have a digital??

I'm tempted to...

I have a Lyman and it is a bit inconsistent.

I still prefer a balance beam scale. I use an RCBS 5-0-5. Just me, but then I am old- school in a lot of ways. Sorry to give you a non-answer on a digital.

Sorting cast bullets by weight is a LOT faster and more precise with a digital scale than with the balance beam type.

That said, I use an old RCBS 10/10 scale for weighing out all of my powder charges. grin

Chargemaster as well!

If you want a powder dispenser as well as a scale, either the RCBS or Hornady units are great. If you only want a digital scale, I highly recommend the Winstead-Peters model sold by Berry's Mfg. Simply superb.

Yep, chargemaster here too
RCBS CHARGEMASTER here also. Learned my lesson about others digital scales. My CHARGEMASTER is correct every time I've checked it against my RCBS 1010 scale.

Love my Chargemaster.
Only drawback is youll probably have to read the directions smile

RCBS CM is a darn fine scale. My 1010 and Dillon are gathering dust in the garage since adding a CM to my loading room years back.

I'm on year number 4 with my RCBS Rangemaster 750. Its been good to me so far.

I've been very pleased with my Hornady Auto Charge. The scale on that thing is better than my Pact or RCBS scales.

I have one of those $20 Frankford Arsenal scales from Midway that fits in your shirt pocket.

It is surprisingly accurate, and very simple to use.
