H4831sc works well with 120gr bulletin my WSSM. Not aware of any 125 gr 257 cal. bullets.

Are you having any issues with compressed loads. I tried 44 grains imr4350 with a 117 Hornady and cratered primers. In addition the group was about 4 inches at 100 yds. Have some shortcut will try some loads.

Compressed loads. Dunno. Nosler lists 48gr 4831 as max for a 120gr. I just poured 48gr of H4831sc into a case and it's not compressed.

Imr 4350 115 gr. Nosler ballistic .25-.29 groups @ 100yards

Can't remember the powder and load but shot 100gr Barnes TSX's in my DTECH upper and it hammered one eight pointer and two pigs at the same time.

Are you saying you just tested the 44gr charges of IMR4350?

What rifle are you loading for?

What scope and mounts are you using?

I like H4895 in the 25 WSSM;

45.0 grains under 75 grain VMax and Sierra HPs.
43.0 grains under 90 grain Sierra HPBTs.
41.0 grains under 100 grain BTs.
39.5 grains under 100 grain Partitions.
39.0 grains under 110 grain ABs.
37.0 grains under 115 grain BTs.

In terms of striking a balance between accuracy, penetration potential, and speed, I think that the 110 grain AB is pretty close to the perfect bullet for shooting deer with the 25 WSSM, at least in my 1-10" ROT 25 WSSMs. If you like Barnes bullets, the 80 grain TTSX looks like it has the potential to do what the 110 grain AB does, only that it would do it faster.

As with many things, YMMV.
