Anybody have any experience with Reloder 23 loads and 200gr Partition in the 300WM? Previously used R22 and moved on because of temp stability issues. Most recently using Magnum and am almost out. Since I have an 8# of R23 was thinking of giving it a try. Haven't been able to find any load data for this combo. Emailed Alliant and they have not tested with 200 Partition. From what I've seen it isn't necessarily a one to one switch from R22 to R23. Thinking of using data for one of the other 200 grain bullets from Alliant web site, just not sure what velocity to target.

Thoughts and recommendations appreciated.
Just drop back 3 or 4 grains and work up again as you need to tune to the batch you have as much as the powder burn rate.
Here is a load I worked up for my 300 Winchester Mag. I used RL-23 powder.
Sorry it wasn't a Partition.

I'd like that a whole bunch. Nice group! I'll probably switch over to the AB in the near future, but I have so many partitions on hand I thought they should get the nod for elk this fall. FWIW my PH in Africa was quite smitten with the 200gr AB in the 300WM. I only took my 375, but I try to ask all the African guys what their preferences are re bullets and calibers. Accubond came up repeatedly as it holds together well and still good for reaching out on longer shots.

Thanks, Randy!
