I did until I either dropped it and broke it or something fell on it.

Worked as good as my Hornady does.

I used the one that came with my Lee Anniversary Kit until I upgraded to an Ohaus. Like you said, it looks a little cheesy but it works. I put it back in the box and it's been on the shelf ever since.

A friend gave me a Lee "Safety Scale." It easily changed weights on it's own. I got rid of it.

Lee makes some good items, I don't think this is one of them. I'm much happier with my older Hornady.

This is my opinion as well. It ain't worth the price, even if it comes for free. I have several Lee items on the bench, and am happy with all of them. But their scale is not on the list.

Heck Powdr, I got two sitting on my bench. I'da sent you one gratis. They work fine but kinda toylike, IMO. I never had any trouble with the weights changing, but I'll take a 25$ digital like a Frankfort arsenal any day for ease of use.

I will tip the scale in favor of the Lee Safety Powder Scale. Been using one since the mid 1990s primarily at the gun club or cabin for load development and found it to be very reliable.

Mine works flawlessly.

I don't think you will either. My only issue with it is that it was hard for me to use the .th grain poise - and that was an issue of eyes, not the scale. I switched to an RCBS M-1000. It's just easier for me to read.

One other negative is it is slower than other balance beam scales. Worked great till the wife started shooting with me, twice as many to load had to get something faster.

I don't like the one that came with my kit in 2000. I like the RCBS one, but rarely use it anymore. Mostly use cheap Lyman electric scale. Balance beams waste to much time for me.

I have a Lee that was given to me. It resides beside a Lyman 55. Both give the same reading for the same charge consistently. The Lee did takes some getting used to when setting it though.

It did take me a while to get use to that BUT I also have a Lyman 1000 digit scale and I use both. The digit scales tend to go out of calibration often so while I'm loading I rely on four tools:
Beam scale
Digital scale
Powder dispenser
Powder trickler

My powder scale, once set, is pretty consistent. I use a set of weights to set / verify the scales. I thought of replacing my Lee Beam with an RCBS but just couldn't justify the cost.

I had one, it worked good, but it stressed out my bifocals.
