Hey guys,
I'm thinking about trying out some of the high BC 175gr bullets in my 308 with a standard remington mag box. I was looking at buying a case of the Prime 175gr 308 factory stuff. I was also looking at picking up some of the Nosler RDFs that are on clearance at midway right now. I know that the mag box maxes out somewhere in the neighborhood of 2.835.

Can you seat these bullets far enough out to get good accuracy and still feed from a regular box or do you have to switch out to an extended box? Anyone shooting the prime from a standard box?

Thanks,
Dave
I can see this a hot issue, so I bought a box of the RDFs to try them out. My guess is Ill run into trouble without an extended mag box, but you never know...
You might find them cheaper here.

I'm sure if you load them to the max length c.o.l. that still fits in the mag they will shoot fine.
