Alright, I know this is a pretty obscure caliber now, but I've got a Browning A-bolt in .325 WSM that I need some help with a load. I'll be hunting Nilgai with this rifle and I've decided on the 180gr Barnes TSX bullets. I've got plenty of RE-22 and H-4350. I'd rather use my RE-22 due to using the H-4350 for competitions. I know someone here has some experience with this, help me out.

Thanks,
Chance

Anyone have any ideas?

Only loads I have worked up with my 325 wsm have been with RL-17.

H4350 works but RL22 is probably too slow for this cartridge. Alliant lists RL19 as the slowest powder recommendation in the 325WSM. RL19's burn rate is listed as 123 on Hodgdon's list and RL22 is 133.

I only tried H 4350 and H 4831 sc in mine when I had it, can't help you with RL 22. I would try to find something between say Big Game or RL 15 on the fast side to H 4831 sc or similar on the slow side.

Thanks guys, I'll try some of these powders. For you guys that have used H-4350, what powder charges worked for you with the 180gr Barnes?

RL 17 or IMR 4007 is your ticket... I use 66.5 gr of RL 17 pushing a 200gr partition.. I never used anything lighter than 195 in my 325 WSM..

I believe I was 66 grains with the same bullet for best accuracy in my rifle.

I've tried a variety of load combinations in my Kimber 325 (including the 180 TSX) with H4350, RE17 and RE19. I settled on H4350 and either the 200 Nosler Partition or 195 Hornady. Agree with others that RE22 is likely a bit slow burning for best results in the 325...

Looks like I'll put together a load with H-4350. I tried RE17 when it first came out and didn't care for it then. Thanks for y'alls help.

Western Powders site also lists A4064, Big Game, A2700 (H414), and Hunter as working for the 325 WSM.
