I picked up 1000 primers at a gun show today for $8 because the guy wasn't sure of their make. They are in plain cardboard sleeves, boxer primers, .210 diameter. The only writing on the sleeves is :
AmboBzundhutchen (German for "primers")
Boxer primers
5.34 mm (.210")
Type 1207

I bought them because what the hell, for $8 how can you go wrong? They appear to be of recent manufacture. I thought maybe they were RWS primers in a plain brown wrapper, but the type number doesn't jibe with any late issue RWS primers in my stash (LR and LP) nor does the number appear on any RWS lists I located on the internet. Anybody have a clue as to their origin? I'm going to use them regardless but it would be nice to know if they're large rifle or large pistol before I do that!

Somebody sold some 1207's on GB awhile back. They listed them as:

Vintage RWS Large Pistol Primers no. 1207:

Here is a link to a page showing 1207 as a Hirtenberger LP primer

Thank you. I saved the list. Was hoping they turned out to be LR's but I can use the LP's too.

So, are you going to move this to the Handgun forum now?😜
