Anyone have any field experience with this new Norma bullet? Believe they only make it in .270/ 140gr
I saw them on Midway, I guess you probably saw them too. They look like good bullets. Tipped flat base with a Interlock type ring close to the base to hold the core. They promote them for driven hunts because of their shock value.

"Tip design for rapid expansion."
"Thin forward jacket provides devastating shock."
"Lead lock guarantees good penetration." (i.e. InterLock, CoreLokt)
So, it's a flat-based Hornady SST basically.
Yeah but it looks like Norma got the ring in the right spot. A lot of Hornadys have the ring too high and the core pops out.
I like a flat based bullet out to 300yds. If the offered them as components at a reasonable price, I'd try them.
Just got my order in mail today— 100 bullets for about $45. Will load a few up and see how they shoot
They shoot fine— loaded up some with rl 26 and got a good group at 61.5 gr— 3170 FPS — my 200 and 300 sub- tensions on my scope were dead on. Will take this load on a Kansas deer hunt and let you know of on game performance.
