My local pawn/gun shop got in some Lyman "Bleacher" style loading blocks.
I have enclosed a link to Midways offering of these, with photo.
Anyway I decided to try one in the 223 Remington family of cartridges size.
My only concern is the "Bleacher" style loading blocks don't weigh much - I am used to my homemade thick/heavy oak loading blocks that don't move when bumped by my un-nimble fingers.
I paid $7.50 for mine and will try it next week, if not sooner.
Anyone have experience with these - good/bad?

I like the idea of the staggered availability of the rounds for picking up?

I like them better than the standard flat ones that everyone makes. I have a couple of each size so I can transfer cases from one to the other once I’ve completed the step I’m on.
I have one of each for .378 and .473 case heads. They are easier to pick up cases from.
LowerRiver & LeonHitchcox: Thanks for the comeback - that is good news from ya'll.
I may just get another "Bleacher block" or two in the 223 case head size.
That covers more than 50% of the reloading I do.
More later.

That makes good sense. I may pick up a couple of them.
They take up noticeably less room on the bench when in use as well.
I've got three.. .. .378, .473, .536...

love 'em.. of course usually I use bases from pistol cartridges...

9mm makes a good 223 load block...

45 ACP makes a good .473 bolt face load block...

don't take up much room and are pretty easy to come by.
Have them and love them !
