I used the the 165gr in my .300 Win Mag this year to test them out. They shot pretty good but didn’t get time to try different loads. I shot a buck this rifle season quartering away at about 100 yds entrance was between the 2nd and 3rd rib on the right side but the exit looked like 2 entrance wounds about 2-3 inches apart one which busted a rib coming out. Any thoughts and info on how these bullets are grouping and performing on game would be great. Thank you.

Good report....I recently bought a box of 165 grain Gamechanger bullets in .308 dia. and worked up a few loads for my Kimber Subalpine and Sako A7 (both .300 WSM) the Subalpine shoots the 165 Gamechanger with 63.5 grains of H4350 into .50"-.75" 5 shot groups @100yds and just slightly larger .80"-.90" 5 shot groups with 64.0 and 64.5 grains of H4350. The A7 will shoot all those same loads under MOA......I also loaded the 165 Gamechanger bullets for My Kimber Subalpine 30-06 with 53.5, 54.0 and 54.5 grains of H4350 but I never got the same sub MOA groups I got out of My 300 WSM rifles.....I also weighed 10 Gamechanger bullets and found them to be the most consistant weight hunting bullets I have ever found, 7 out of the 10 bullets I weighed were exactly 165.0 grains and the other 3 weighed 165.1, 165.2 and 165.2 grains, as a comparison I weighed 10 Barnes 165 grain TTSX bullets and only 3 out of 10 Barnes weighed exactly 165.0 grains, the other seven varied in weight from 164.5 to 166.0 grains........My main concern with the new Sierra Gamechanger is its toughness........Hb

I have switched to the 130 Gamechangers in both my Creedmoor and 260ai.. Better groups and excellent consistency near and far..I like them..Haven't shot anything with them yet, that will have to wait for spring bear..

I was so impressed with the 6.5's that I bought a box of 7mm 165's to play with in my 7x300 wm. They were terrible..In fact they shot so bad I thought something was wrong with my gun..Went home,got my normal load of 180 Bergers and half inch...Whew!! Was worried...Gave them to my brother to try in his 7 mag and same results..Then, gave what was left to a buddy that has a super accurate Sako 7 mag and 4 inch groups..I am thinking it has to be a bad batch or something..The 6.5's are one holers..

May try some 165's later after they have had some more practice making them..

I used the 6.5 130gr for my 260, and the 243 90gr for 243 and 243ai with excellent results

That buck ran about 30 yards down hill into the creek. How convenient lol

The 130’s are incredibly accurate in my Tikka T3 260, can’t wait to test them on a spring bear or two.

I’m wondering if they’re going to expand the selection soon... I hope!

I was hoping for a 120gr .257 cal, but after they discontinued a bunch of their bullets in that caliber, I'm not hopeful.

I’m expecting a .25 cal offering. Lighter 7mm offering. Lighter .277 offering. And I’m sure they’ll add another 6.5 and .30 cal offering

In time I would expect the full range of calibers, they seem to be well received so far from those who have used them. I have some 130's for my 260 Rem and maybe wife's 6.5x55 and some 140's for the 270 Win sitting here waiting for the first signs of spring and some more reloading.

Oh and Sierra a bonded core Gameking like the 225 gr 35 cal would be well received as well here

You’d think a company like that would on top of things when it comes to hunting. Unless they’ve been a majority match making bullet company with the selection of soft points. Im assuming the TGK is sierras answer to the ELD-X line as well as nosler ABLR

Competition for the ELDX, yes, but I haven't seen any indication of the TGK line being aimed at the same applications as the ABLR. The ABLR is a very different design than most other tipped bullets, and intended for a different working envelope. What have you seen that I missed?

Hmm. Totally different applications, really. Having a plastic tip and high b.c. doesn't necessarily make it a long range hunting bullet, other than superficial appearance. The ABLR is meant to work at very low velocity that typically occurs at long ranges. From everything I see, the TGK, along with the ELDx, NBT, etc are intended to work at normal hunting rifle velocities. Obviously there is some overlap there, but less than might be thought at first glance.

Fair enough. I would say it seems similar to the ELD-X.

I didn’t hear anything about the tip on the TGK being heat resistant though. I may have missed it though

Sierra has their act together on the game changers in the 6.5 130g and 7mm 165g,

I’m not saying they were bad choices. I just hope they come out with more options soon.

I just read a review where they where tested in 3 different calibers and all 3 shed their cores. I'm a big Sierra fan but I don't like that idea.

They’ve worked fairly well for me. They’re accurate, the BC seems legit, and the 90 grainer .243 bullet absolutely hammered an antelope buck at 400 last fall. It obviously didn’t shed its core.... but I did find a few pieces of the green plastic tip in the exit wound.

I think I may have see that review. And I’m thinking that maybe what happened when I shot my buck

Now that I got my dream rifle, I’m debating getting a box of the 140s for my .270. I hope somebody has experience with these by now. Info is appreciated. Thank you
