A good buddy sent me a handful of these and asked to try these out and compare them to the 250 Woodleigh. I never shot them on paper, just shot one over the Magnetospeed and one into the jugs at 25 yards. I was very impressed with what dumped outta the last jug.

.690” expansion and darned near full weight retention seems pretty danged good. To be honest I weighed one before firing and it was 249.7. Didn’t weigh others but I’m pretty sure it won’t lose too much.
Is alaska bullet works defunct? I heard he had a heart attack?
He was shipping Bullets as of a month ago. My buddy got a bunch from him and he in turn sent me the samples.
Hmm, the website catalog they used to have is gone, and everywhere that stocked them shows them as discontinued. Do you have contact info or know where to get catalog information?

Hit up Gunner500... I believe he has the details.
Very impressive.

The two guys who started ABW were retired Alaska DOT bridge engineers who were also shooting/hunting loonies. I was in their shop about 20 years ago. They must have moved it somewhere else.

I've got some .338 and .375 bullets if someone want to buy them cheap. I've tried before, but no takers . . . . .
Hell of a deal, many thanks for the test Big Buddy, like markak338fed said down in the North 61 thread, he's killed deer and two moose without a bullet recovery to date.

That thing is gong to knock 12Ga slug holes through animals, I cant wait to use it on something big, I have zero experience, but don't believe even a big brown bear will shake one of those off. smile

Went back and reread the North61 thread, StarchedCover reports deer, pigs, moose and even the tough nilgai haven't caught one of these bullets, sounds to me like they're a hell of a hammer, cant wait for my rifle to get back from the Smiths with case-hardening done so I can begin working up a good accuracy load.
Alaska Bullet Works and the telephone number is 907-789-3834 and Karl will answer the phone. I just ordered two more boxes of the 348 - 250 grain bullets and I one box of 358 - 225 grain to try in my new 358 WCF.
