Those of you loading the 127 LRX in .260, what measurements are you getting for COAL and how far off the lands does that put you?

I am struggling getting these bullets to fit in the mag box, without being seated way far off the lands.
How do they shoot way far off the lands?

I haven’t tried. Just having a hard time wrapping my head around a .100-.120 jump actually shooting well. Seems like a lot. Most of my other loads shoot best .050-.060 out. How much jump is too much?
Let the rifle tell you. I've fired ten shot, half moa groups with the bullets jumping .100" out of a heavy 308.
Don't worry about it until you shoot it. You can get too wrapped up in that jump crap. If the rifle does not shoot them well enough, then mess with it. All you can do is what the magazine allows you to do. I have not shot that bullet, but I have loaded the 147 ELDMs in my .260 and they did well.

That’s a long bullet too right? Do you know what it measures? So you just load them to fit in the box and don’t pay any attention to jump?

My 270 bee has .378" freebore and shoots the 129gr lrx at 3500fps lights out. Don't worry about jump.

Generally mono’s like jump, 120TTSX in one of my 260s does 1/2” jumping .115”

Yep, exactly!

Absolutely. I just measured one and it is 1.32 inches long. I run these in my Creed as a standard, but have done just fine at Remington mag length, with my .260, also. It is a heavily-compressed load, though, in the .260. My standard load in my .260s, is the 129 Interlock, over Reloder 17, for 2977 fps. I have no need for all-copper bullets, as I don't hunt elk etc. with it. The Interlocks shoot as accurately as any bullet in my rifles and smuck deer with authority.

As mentioned earlier the Ttsx don’t mind or like the jump.
I just ordered these for the 6.5 creed. Any load data on that?

I'd load @ 0.080, 0.100 and 0.120" off lands. Fine tune from there. Thank me later . . .

Have a 308 Kimber that because of mag length jumps about 1/8 inch. It doesn't give BR accuracy but does fine for hunting purposes.

I have been shooting the 120gr TSX in my Savage 260 with tiny groups. I have the bullet seated so the top edge of the case mouth sets about in the middle of the top bullet grove. This is a solid .070 off the lands . Should be a great starting point for most rifles. Using Win 760 / H-414 powder for 3004fps from the 22" Bbl.
