With the understanding it's pretty popular with the 6.5 CM folks, what other cartridge/bullet combos have you found RL16 to shine with?
.R16 has replaced my previous favorites in the 220 Swift: 43.5 gn with 50. 52 or 55 gn bullets (Speer data). 215 primers seem to work a bit better then 210s.
.30-06: 168 TTSX and 180 Nosler Partition

Cheers
Right now it's holding down a pile of papers on the kitchen table, but in the near future besides that Creedmore thing I bought by mistake, it may work in a 22-250 Ackley where I ran out of case capacity with IMR-4350.
Excellent in .30-06 with 165 gr partitions. Two of my rifles shot their best group ever.
Randy,

It works wonders in my 6CMs with 105 and 108 Hornady bullets
AND....it really works well in my 270 with 130TTSX.....exceptionally well in fact.
Good to hear Vern,
I'm going to try the Barnes 129 LRX in one of my 270's and have some R16 in route so i'll give it a whirl.

Are you using standard primers or mag primers with this load?
I'm using Fed 210 primers, 57.0 gr , in FC cases. Note that when you try it, your first group won't be great, but shoot a few more and it improves a lot. I'm guessing that it took a few rounds to get rid of some of the copper.
I use it in my .35 Whelen and my wife's .243 with 90 grain Sierra's Game Changers.
22 br loves it with 88 eld’s.
I have one 30-06 that I couldn't find the right load for until I tried Reloader-16.I can live with this one.I think it will work in my 300WSM and 300 Win Mag too.

Randy,

Checking notes:
Kimber MA 270, 54 grs RL16, 3.20 COAL, Federal Magnum primers only because that's what I had at the time.
130TTSX, 3200 fps.

I bought some of the 129s to try but these do so well, I decided to quit there.

Over the years I've screwed around with all sorts of seating theories with Barnes bullets but I now just seat
em to top groove and crimp lightly with a Lee Crimping Die......this works well in my 22-250, 9.3x62 and 270.
Thanks for the intel Vern, I'll keep you posted.

Hig,

What charge are you running in a .22br, if you don’t mind my asking?

I’m about to start working with it with 88 ELD’s and 95 SMK’s.

I’m thinking 31.0 with 88’s and 29.0 with 95’s for starters.

Thanks!!!

Thanks for the info.
