For the rest of your days what would they be?
Varget, H4350, Benchmark or Varget, Varget, and Varget
RL19, H4350 and IMR4064 would fill all my needs.
H4895
h4350
Unique
I'd sell off a lot of guns or shoot factory ammo in quite a few if limited to 3 powders. I could live with factory ammo in semi-auto handguns but would have to have 4227 for large bore revolvers. For rifles, I suppose something like H4895 and H4350 could be made to work for most of what I shoot.
For rifles it would be Big Game, Tac, and H4350.
I'll go with Finn on this: H4831SC, Varget and Universal.
Big Game, H4350, Unigue
IMR 4350, H4895 and HS-6
H4350, AR comp, H4895. You can load just about anything with those 3 on board..
IMR-4895, IMR-4064 and Unique.
IMR 3031, IMR 4064 and Unique could fill my needs.
#1- H4350
#2- IMR4895
#3- Tie RL26 or H4198
Unique, 5744 and Re17 would be my choices.

N133
RL19
H1000
If I only had one of the 4350s or 4451 (could make any of them work), then either TAC or 8208, and 2400 i could shoot for the rest of my days with all my firearms except shotguns.. Maybe not ideal loads for everything but they would work.
From what I use the most H4831 and Varget. For a third I would have to choose between IMR4451, TAC, Big Game.
H4831, varget, unique
varget, h4350, h1000
Varget, H4350, H4831sc
Unique, 4350, 4895
H-4350, WW296/H110 and Longshot
Rifle varget RL26. H4350

Handgun. 296, lil gun, AA1680

Shotgun red dot, herco, international Clays

I could easily survive with these three.
IMR or H 4895, 4831, and Red Dot
Unique, RL15 and H4350 would do everything I “need” done, but it would be like golfing with a putter, 5 iron and a driver. You could do it, but better tools exist and would add to the enjoyment.

RL15
H4350
H4831

I've consolidated my rifle chamberings to:
223, 69 SMK with RL15
7mm08, 140s with H4350
280AI, 160s with H4831
375H&H, 260AB with RL15 and 300s with H4350

I use other powders, but would be content with those three.
RL26, H4350 and H4895

How long have you had this illness?
Varget, R-17, H1000

I almost wrote that but I would swap out H-1000 for IMR 4320
TAC
Big Game
Hunter

Re-17
Re-22
Varget: rifle
H110: revolver hunting loads
Bullseye: 45 ACP
Titegroup: 9mm

I could keep my 22-250. The 25-06 is a maybe. No powder on earth holds a candle to H110 for full throttle revolver hunting loads. Bullseye and 45 Auto target loads are peanut butter and jelly. Bullseye is also a great powder for very accurate revolver target loads. Here’s where I can’t live with just three powders. I can’t get maximum accuracy from a 9mm using a powder for low pressure 45 Auto loads. And for what it’s worth, lots of powders work well in 9mm. For me, Titegroup has been the most consistently accurate powder I’ve tried across many many 9mms using a variety of bullets and bullet weights. Your results may vary 😉.
I'm going to assume you are talking strictly rifle powders.

Based on that criteria, mine would be:

H335
IMR-4350
RL-22

Those would take care of everything I have from 223 Rem to 270 Weatherby.

Pistol and shotgun powders are a totally different thread!

Elk Country
Reloader 15
H-4350
H-1000

I consolidated things down a few years ago. I load one of those powders in most of my rifles and the handguns get factory ammo most of the time.
Everything gets a Federal primer.

Makes it easy to stock up for the panics!
For me, it would be:

IMR 4350, for .280 and .30-06,
RL 22 for .270 WSM and .257 Wby.,
IMR 4227, for my big-bore handguns.
RL15, IMR4350 and bullseye

Pretty much my take on it. RL-15 isn't the best for lighter bullet weights in the .223 but it will work.
Varget, H4895, H4831sc
Varget, H4350 & H1000
Re26
Re16
TAC
Even two only would make it for me...:

N150, and
H4831 SC
Trail Boss, Varget, 4895 (either I or H)
RL22, H4350, IMR 4895
Unique,Varget, H4350
I’m not scared of the China virus, but I did buy more Varget to help the economy. Always a good investment. MAGA

I’d rather not have to think about this, but for rifles (since this is a rifle forum) it would be TAC, Varget, and Big Game.
Blue Dot, 4198, ( any one of these three as the third); IMR 3031, 4895, 4064....
I mainly shoot 30/06 on down....

but thank Goodness we don't have to live with just three...
CFE223 - Varmint
4831sc - Big Game
Win231 - Pistol
H4350
Varget
H335
.....I'd miss TAC though....
H4895
H4350
H4831sc
Sounds like a lot of guys here don't load pistol ammo?

For me it would be:

Universal for pistols & shotguns (it's like Unique, but better)

Leverevolution for the myriad of smaller rifle cartridges in the 223-308 burn rate range

Rl-16 or maybe Superformance for the Creedmoor.

This hypothetical question (what 3 powders) is posted in the BIG GAME RIFLE RELOADING forum.

For me, I'd roll with H-4895, H-4350 and H4831sc
Ok... now I can come up with an answer. For my Rifles: Benchmark, Varget, H4350
Just talking rifles, it would be H380, IMR4350, and H4831,

For just rifle then:

CFE223 - fast
H380 - medium
H4831sc - magnum
For me they'd be IMR4350, H4831SC and Unique.
IMR7828, H4895, CFE223
One of the 4350 SCs, RL15, & RL 22.
That's almost as bad as one rifle scenarios...

I have 40-50 different powders.

To play along, if I had to have only three, I'd go with Varget, H-4350 and RL-26 I could get by with those.

DF
IMR 4451, H4895 & H4831
Picked up some more h4895 on sale the other day. I use it in M1 garand with 168 bthp. Found some 7828 fir 23 bucks it’s the non ssc but for $23 bucks can’t beat that..

My problem is picking the 3rd powder.

H4895 -- most of my centerfire rifle loadings use this.
Universal Clays-- most of my centerfire pistol loadings use this.

The question is what to pick next.

H110? I use that for my 357 Mag and 44 Mag hunting rounds.
H4831SC? 25-06
Varget? I have one loading for 308 WIN that uses it, but I could just as easily use H4895

I guess I'm going to go with BL-C(2). I use that in the .223 REM loads I run in the Progressive.
Never happen. I need AA1680 for my 17 Hornet to H869 for my 375 BAS. (400 Cutting edge bullets at 3100 fps)
For rifles only it would be: IMR 4198, IMR 4350, H 4831.
If I had to pick 3 to cover everything it would be: Unique, IMR 4198, IMR 4350.

For pistols only: Unique, 2400, H110
