I’ve got some time off work due to the virus for the next few weeks and thinking of working up some loads for my 25-06. I have a variety of bullets in the 115-120g range and hoping to work with RL22. Any favorites?

As far as the 25-06, RL22 and 115-120 grain bullets that's a damn fine combo.

Only your rifle tell you what load it prefers. Ones.i have messed with shot very good at or near max for that particular rifle.

That combo works great together. My pet load and my favorite is the Speer 120gr with RL22. The Sierra 117gr also works great as does the Nosler 115gr.

53 grains RL22 and a 115 BT or 117 pro hunter is a dandy. 52.5 with a Speer 120 or any 120 is a dandy also. 53.5 with a 110 AB is very nice.

Nosler 110gr Accubond / 53.5grs RL22

52.5 grains and the Hornaday 117 was the ticket in my rifle. I can get more velocity with R26 but R22 was more accurate. R22 was easy to dial in, just run up to maximum and then tweak seating depth and done.

Thanks guys, was looking for good loads to work up to. Hoping to stick with RL22 because I use it in my 280 also.

I still have a couple of lbs of R22 but when it is gone it will be R23 & R26 at least where these work in the same applications. So far they have been good in the 25-06 and 280AI, others too.

Right along with the 270 & the 280, in the 25-06 RL-22 is about as good as it gets.

'26 might get you a tad more, but '22 is very, very good.
