ok, will a pro-hunter barrel (#4868) fit on my Encore? If so, what forend would I need?

Pro-Hunter & Regular Encore barrels will fit either frame. Depends on barrel length. Forends fit 24" & 26" barrel of either hunter or regular barrels.

Hmm...ok, the Thompson #4868 is a 28" barrel..so I am confused...

Any forend for a 26" heavy barrel will fit a 28" PH barrel.

ok folks, thanks. Sound like I can use this barrel on my Encore, and now I know the item numbers for the forend that I need. Got a local show this coming weekend, so maybe we'll find one there.

If you are planning to get serious into the Encores, I would suggest not wasting your money on a factory forend. Get a pillar bedded forend from Tony Gettel. See the link to his site.
