H380=22-250+Mag Primers - 03/30/11
Who wudda thunk it - Speer Did!
I have been working up loads for grandchildren in a Howa 1500, Hvy Barrel, tupperware stock that showed a lot of promise with factory Federal 55 gr TBBC load.
Started with IMR 4064 w/55 gr TBBC, 45 TSX and 53 TSX. Nothing really cooked with 1"-3/4" best groups while the factory was doing 3/4" all day. Would continully get groups with two touching and two an inch up or down touching.
Moved to H380 and same deal. Finally had enough of using regular 210 Fed primers and took the advice of 'the lone ranger" Speer who recommended mag primers with the H380 and whollas first day out the 1" between two touching turned into !/2 or better groups with the H380. Don't be hard headed try the mag primers with the H380!
worked for me and will for you - MAYBE!
