Well I've been working lots dof brass and had my tumbler running lots , well my ? is what do you think cleans brass the best I use walnut media and Grafs polish , which for me is the best , I didn't think corn cob did aswell , and I'm not sold on the sonic cleaner , I'm intrested to hear what you all think
Walnut media for the last 36 years for me w/no additives.
walnut with a touch of liquid car wax or plain works fine. Harbour Freight has it in 25# boxes if there is one near you.

wet tumbling in a rotary tumbler with stainless pins will absolutely get them cleaner than any other method. some folks think it's overkill and I tend to agree, but I do it anyway.
The rule of thumb that I've often heard is corn cob for cleaning and walnut for shining? Don't know if that's true or not since I'm only interested in getting my brass clean. Shiny brass ain't no more accurate nor does it kill stuff deader. 
I never bothered to clean brass, but now I use a teaspoon of citric acid and a squirt of dish soap in a quart of boiling water in an ultrasonic cleaner, rinse and dry in sun, or over wood stove. I quit cleaning primer pockets, see no difference.

The stainless media gets them cleaner than new. I have been using it for almost 2 years and would never go back. They are spotless, inside and out. Sinclairs sells them now, not sure who else is carryiong it.

same here... and yes I sleep like a baby over it...
my elbow doesn't hurt anymore after cleaning 300 primer pockets...
I clean brass overnight in the tumbler.. .whether using Walnut or Corn Media... I pick it up at the Farmer's Grange Store down the road... 50lb bags are about $10.00...so its pretty cheap...

Stainless steel media is also what I now use.

Best tumbling media I have found is low test weight wheat and some of Lymans polish. On primer pockets just the worst of the crud. I too leave the rest.
Cleaning cases is good but it's not rocket science and how we do it really doesn't matter in the end, nor does getting them surgically clean or highly polished matter. I've used stainless, have a ultrasonic but I went back to cleaning my cases with a vib tumbler with either cob or nut without polish. Both cob and nut media are sold, each has its fans because both work; seems some nervous guys use a mixture, just to make sure they get it right I suppose.
I've never bothered cleaning primer pockets for high volumes of practice ammo, rifle or handgun. I've always cleaned the primer pockets in my hunting ammo and during load development ... but I've not kidded myself that it matters.

I dont clean primer pockets except for hunting & match cases, still use the same tumbler I bought in 84,corncob is prefered. Throw em in , turn it on, and let er run.
And the only reason I quoted Boomtube is because for once I cant find a thing wrong with what he said.

stainless media cleans everything and the brass looks brand new in a couple hours.
just have to add a step of drying the brass when done though
