They had some LT-32 at the last gunshow, and after hearing Swifty's experience with the powder, I just had to pick up a pound for the .223.
I'll be heading to the range come Sunday, what's been working well with it.
Mostly I'm interested in which primers it seems to like, and bullets as well of course.
I've only shot it in .222 and using a Federal primer and 50-grain V-Max. On top of that, I've only been out twice with it so far but the results have been spectacular, probably better than any other powder I've ever tried in the .222 Rem. I think the stuff is magic in .222, and it might be just as good in the .223 Rem.

BR4 work real good, as do Rem 7 1/2 BR, and Federal GM. Actually haven't found it to be particularly sensitive to brand of primer. Load it to the top end, it doesn't fill the case and with the velocity being in the 3150 range w/50-55 and lack of pressure you definitely have room to go above the book.
Sweet powder, drops consistent, doesn't care about temp swings, low E.S, low S.D and accuracy has been outstanding. I think you will like it as long as speed isn't the defining element.

I'm not looking for top velocities. I'm looking for something that will shoot small groups across our various weather conditions. I'm also looking for something that may be consistent across several rifles in the same caliber. With you experience with it's consistence across temperatures and primers, I would be surprised if, in a .223 this was like H4831 in a .270 Win where it's easy to have one load shoot well in half a dozen different rifles.
I have all 3 primers you mentioned in the loading room, so I appreciate you giving me something to work with.

Starting loads listed for: 6BR,22BR,6ppc,22ppc,6/223,223AI,223,222,221,20 Practical, 20 Vartarg.

I hadn't heard of LT-30 yet.
No 223 data on the 30, but the deuce data looks interesting.
The deuce data, for me, was a bit off (producing a LOT less speed for its listed charges).
Interestingly, RH Vandenburg shot some loads from his 222 that seemed to jive with my findings for charge weights and speed, but all of his other data was exact Western loads and speeds.
That said, its getting to be my favorite powder for the 222.....
I have never been able to get 3250 out of max load for the 52-55's either. Always been off by about 100 fps. How ever a few 6 PPC shooters have got book speeds per charge weight.
Vandenberg lists 3,216 with 50's and 3,179 with 55's in the 222.
His loads, however, is either the same or .5 gr under Westerns 223 data.
Hawk, is that data available on the web? I've googled "Vandenburg LT-32" it and haven't found it.
I dunno. I don't get LoadData.com anymore, but it was in the Dec. 2014 Handloader.

Mmmm...maybe you were talking about .223 data. I was thinking .222 Rem. You've cleared my question up though, I just haven't read Handloader since about 2010. Burned out on gun rags, hard.
