I saw an article where the author mantioned using TAC with light bullets for the 225 Winchester. I have not been able to find data, and curious if anybody ran across any. My 225 Winchester has a 14 twist, so I will be using 40 grain bullets. Any help would be appreciated!
ps. The article I saw was in load data, and didnt want to pay 40 bucks to unlock the rest of the article. It was called loading the 225 Winchester and was written by John Haviland. I dont know if he gave charge weights later int he article or not.

Haviland listed 35 gn of TAC with 40 gn Sierra Blitz Kings and WLR primers. He reported 4139 fps from a 28" barrel.

I have never tried 40 gn bullets but 8208XBR worked well with 36 gn Barnes Varmint Grenades.

My favorite load these days involves 50 gn Ballistic Tips, Big Game and 210M primers. IMR4064 is another candidate for accurate loads.

In decades gone by plenty of ground squirrels were splattered with 55 gn Hornady SX and IMR4064 even though a smoke trail was sometimes visible all the way to the target. The 1:14 handles 55s just fine.

I won't divulge my powder charges because my Model 70 needs to exceed published loads by a couple of grains to equal published velocities.

My Model 70 sporter .225 shoots 32.0 grns of IMR 3031, Rem 9.5’s and 40 grain Nosler Ballistc Tips really well. I played with a couple different bullets 50 & 52’s and some factory ammo but nothing shot as good as the Noslers. I dont have a chronograph, so I have no idea what I am getting for velocity.

Mine is a Model 70 Deluxe with a 22" barrel. Haven't tried 40 grain but it gets 4190 fps with 35 gn Ballistic Tips and 3600 with 50 gn Ballistic tips.
I have some 55 grain factory loads in a yellow box with a $3.80 price tag. The velocity printed on the box is 3650 fps but the chronograph says 3380.
The factory ammunition was very accurate and splattered ground squirrels in a most spectacular way. I once met a coyote hunter who searched the state
for this ammo because it would not exit a coyote.
