I have a Savage LRPV 22-250 1 in 9 Twist Single Shot .

What is the heaviest bullet do you guys think it will stabilize?

I have loaded some 75 gr and 80 gr ELD-M's but I do not know.....

I have an X-Bolt with the same rate of twist. I am going to try some 62 grain TTSX and 65 grain GK's. We'll see where we go from there.

So far the one i put together has liked the 75 and 80 grain bullets.

They do a number on coyotes,so far the longest kill was at 320 yards.

When they hit they sound weird like a plop only louder.

I have a 12 BVSS in 223... with a one in 9.

It will easily digest 75 and 80 grain A Maxes, plus the various HPs in 75 and 80 grains from
multiple manufacturers...

I've even tried low velocity loads, as an experiment...

75 and 80 grain BTHPs, Match style bullets, with a charge of Unique..
they were only shot at 50 yds to see if they would even stabilize..
they had zero issues, plus made a little bitty 5 shot hole group...

That's all good news!

The 62 Barnes is a good bullet. It no problem to shoot through a 200 lb pigs shoulders.

That’s all I’ve heard hanco, the 62 TTSX is a killer. I have some loaded up. We’re going to try to find out.

Well no chit Sherlock! But the heavies I was referring to are longer.......n'est pas?????

Anyway tried some 77 TSMK and they shot about .25" at 3250 fps, so we're good.

Kchuntis,

YOU are the one asking questions, not I. Hint. Congratulations?!?

In fairness however,the 77 Tipped Sugar's BC is shy of a 75 'Max,let alone a 75 ELD. Hint.

Bless your heart for doing your best!

Lawrence of Alaska ( not to be confused with Lawrence of Arabia) is sort of like to the campfire,
what an overfilled out house would be to Central Park.

I think most understood that the heavy bullets were describing the high BC bullets.

How do you figure I imitate you there Stumpy? for starters, I know what a bar of soap is for, and use it daily.

But then you are repeating yourself, so ya must be drunk and high on meth, per usual.

Shefire,

I VERY much enjoy, that your STUPIDITY is not an "act". Congratulations?!?

"Luckily" for you,Imagination and Pretend are free,so you can "afford" to "contribute". Laughing!

Lemme fuel them fires with Reality,as you Lick Windows...well devoid of a first fhuqking clue.

Shefire,

Might I suggest a Hurt Feelers Report,to satiate your angst,as you talk out your ass and "flaunt" your Imagination and it's Pretend. Congratulations?!?

Bless your heart for doing your BEST.

Don't forget, that Imitation is THE most Sincere form of Flattery.

Keep telling yourself that schitt Stumpy.. while you try to convince the campfire you actually matter for something important in life... but even you know what a fallacy that is when you're occasionally sober...

and that still doesn't change the simple fact: only place you've ever seen STUPIDITY, is when you look in the mirror....

you must have missed that the first 5 or so times it was pointed out...since you were probably drunk and high on meth....

Loaded a few more loads all with h414.

75 gr ELDM 38/H414 3450 fps .31" from 36.5 gr to 37.5 gr velocity was 3333 to 3390 and accuracy .65 to .53"
80 gr ELDM 36 H414 3250 fps and accuracy .5" at 100 yards.

Winds variable from WSW at 15-20 mph.---Standard Cheyenne weather.

I almost traded a scope for a 12FV. But the hole spacing was4.27" and I'd rather have the 4.40". Glad I didn't because I'm liking this 1-9".
