Bought this nib safe queen 20 gauge through an estate auction last week. These were the 5 yr or so special run shotguns that were imported to American Arms, Inc in North Kansas City.

I called Beretta to get the date of manufacture from barrel letters, 1995. They could not help with the receiver serial number, those records have been lost due to time and acquisitions.

None of my firearms are collector items, this one will be in the dove fields on Sept 1st. Since the Franchi 48 AL was made for a long time, this is just a different version with the same guts.

I will see how the different factory chokes pattern on paper next week.

Franchi 48s are fantastic guns. They're pretty much Browning A5s, but light and nimble.

I love my older 12 ga for chuckar hunting. I'd LOVE to score a 20ga.

Your find rates a definite Two-Cool!
cool cool

I found it on GB about 6-7 years ago.

Thanks luv2safari,

They are sweet guns. Now I will try to get this posted to over to the shotgun forum instead of the Reloading-Shotgun forum. Trying to do stuff off the screen of an android phone. My bad

Nice guns, had several in my quail hunting days.
I have that exact same shotgun in the safe. Got it as young man in the early 90s as my first semi shotgun. My daughter has used it the last few years for clay shooting and dove hunting. Great little guns.
