What kind of hull are you looking for? How many are you wanting? Shipping will be expensive for big box but not much weight.

The folks at the Coeur d’Alene Skeet and Trap Club probably throw away more 12 gauge hulls a week than you could use in a lifetime.

I don't doubt that at all, seems these days the vast majority of clay bird shooters don't reload. Still some folks out there trying to sell the better once fired hulls like nitro 27 / sts but for the most part ask at your range if any hulls are availible...mb

Thanks. Will check at the trap and skeet club.

Our Trap and Skeet club throws thousands of hulls away every week.

Hear you the same buffbr. The club I belong to has a staff of young people for scoring, loading traps and picking up the hulls all to toss. If a guy got his ass in gear between rounds and picked up hulls nobody would complain. And if your worried just ask if you can pick them all up and sort later. I favor that approach it is simple, keep an open mind sure Remington sts and nitro 27's are at the top of the heap but they will all work. The guy with the biggest supply of hulls and components is the biggest winner because he allways has what everyone else is scrambling for when times get tough. No bs what I just wrote and advised is priceless freely given..mb

You know I asked that same question when I started reloading shells. At the time no one had hulls for sale. I went to watch a club trap shoot just to learn about shooting. There I struck up a conversation. He helped me dumpster dive. I stick to Winchester AA hulls which are common at our club. But the Remington Nitro 27/STS are considered the top of the heap. I have never seen one in the garbage. After the top two, it's straight walled hulls, like Federal and the European ones . Each type of hull takes it's own type of wad. The different loads of shot take different wads, too.

Nitro 27's & STS are my favorites followed by Gun Clubs. Just reloaded about 500 Gun Clubs for the 10th time. They are finally starting to tire out without about a 20% cull rate.

My current load is 1-1/8 oz in a Windjammer wad over High Gun and a Cheddite 209 primer. Would love to use Clays again if it comes available but for now High gun is working well.

Yeah, I haven't seen clays in about 2 years either. It's my goto load for low brass/handicap loads, and also for 45acp.

There is always someone selling the good hulls (STS, Federal, AAs) in the classifieds on Trapshooters.com.

What are AA hulls worth these days , Old Style or new style , red or grey ? I havent kept up since I had eye surgery and quit trap shooting.

My kids want to ask the local trap and skeet club if they can pick up hulls to sell. They currently just throw them all away. As tge snow clears and shooting pucks up we'll ask the range owner. If he says yes my kids would love to box some up and sell them to make a little money.

I needed some 20 gauge hulls to load for my kids last year and some guys on the fire sold me a few boxes full for a reasonable amount. The tough part as always was shipping.

I told my kids if they let them pick some up maybe I'll get them a table at a gunshow so they can sell some without shipping. I just don't know if they'd sell enough to cover the table.

My daughter wants to sell freeze dried skittles and other candies so maybe they could do that too. She's 10 and is currently saving to but a freeze drier. They're expensive but I told here I'd say half if I can use it for our extra garden stuff too. She's been busy dog sitting and taking care of people's chickens when they're out of town.
