I'm using Bushnell TRS-25's on two rifles - one's on short-range brush/woods rifle and the other's on an AR - pleased with both setups as it's got a 3 mil dot and I can dim it way down with the reostat.

I have seen an Aimpoint 1000 for $75 at Genesee Valley Shooting Supplies in Caledonia, NY
