Here is a beautifully made custom Frontier style 7" butcher knife and sheath.set by Bladesmith Josh Clarke.

The knife is 11.5 long with a 7" blade. These are flat ground from US made 1095 steel and are 1/8" thick at the spine. It is ground thin with a hand rubbed satin finish with a swedge ground tip . Joshua's deeply stamped "Broadsword" maker's mark is on the blade..

They have an industrial grade heat treat ( I believe Peters) at 58 Rockwell.

The handle design is the Classic round tapered French trade pattern .The handle is a full 4.5" long with a slight taper and should fit just about any hand size well.

The scales are air dried bokmatched Eastern Black Walnut Feather crotch burl. The pictures simply do not do justice to the curly figure in the scales. They are attatched with Brownells Acraglass with hand set brass pins .The finish is Josh's blend of Marine grade Spar varnish and Tung oil for a traditional looking and weatherproof finish.

The knife comes one of Josh's Shop built hand stitched sheaths done in Dark Brown American Bison leather with full welt .This knife shath combo weighs less than 8 ounces, so it will still be light on your belt.

These knives very popular last year and Josh has only made a few this year. This is a large, capable and well made knife for the $$.

The price is $110 plus $10 shipping

PayPal or USPS MO as payment . Thanks.
