I'm going to put this on hold for Reba. I'll have to see if my dealer will ship to california, I don't see why not. So I'll ask Monday.

The cali commies have an "approved" roster for handguns that dictate what can and cannot be sold there and they change it annually with no rhyme or reason. The 21A is not on the roster so if your dealer is up to date on the law he won't send it.

The way I read it a private party transfer has to be between two cali residents:

Private party transfers must be conducted with both parties, in person, through a fully licensed California firearms dealer. Failure to do so is a violation of California law.

Well it turns out that this pistol cannot be shipped to Reba, so it is back up for sale.

I'm no lawyer, but if I go to the Cal DoJ website (https://oag.ca.gov/firearms/certified-handguns/search), this is what I see:

As of January 1, 2001, no handgun may be manufactured within California, imported into California for sale, lent, given, kept for sale, or offered/exposed for sale unless that handgun model has passed firing, safety, and drop tests and is certified for sale in California by the Department of Justice. Private party transfers, curio/relic handguns, certain single-action revolvers, and pawn/consignment returns are exempt from this requirement.

But you may be right, there may be OTHER rules that apply to private party transfers.

The guy was a FFL dealer, and he could not accept it from out of state because it is not on some magic list.
Still available for shooters outside california.

Some FFL’s here won’t accept firearms from individuals, for whatever reason.

Some sellers refuse to ship to CA- for whatever reason.

Quite frankly I appreciate your willingness to attempt to ship to CA, as it’s mildly infuriating when I see ads where for no apparent reasons the seller refuses to sell to a CA resident.
