Up for sale is a pre-64 model 70 (S#98,xxx) which I believe would make it a 1948. This is a shooter rifle to hunt with or use for a custom build. A pad has been added bringing LOP to 14 inches. It wore a side mount scope at some point to there are holes drilled in the left side (plugged) and the stock was notched out for the mount. There is what will appear to be a crack in the left side of the stock but it is not, it is just a deep scratch. The floor plate has no finish and is pitted. The floorplate release spring is weak. I ordered a new plunger, spring and pin for replace all of this. It will be here Monday and is included in the sale.
The rifle will ship from a non-FFL to your FFL and I will include a copy of my drivers license. Payment by check only. Rifle will be shipped in a new hard case ($25) and the price will include shipping to the lower 48 ($40-50). Priced shipped in the hard case is $625

Good snag! Only reason I didn’t jump on this myself is because I already had a deal going for another fine rifle. This one will make an excellent hunting rifle for someone!
