Hey guys looking for some help on the value of a Remington 700 classic 308 last year made 2005 new in the box?
Market has softened a little on them but 308 is one of more sought after calibers. It still should bring $1200+ if NIB on auction sites. Seen nice shape used ones go for $1000ish.
It is the rarest chambered classic. I think just less than 1500 made. I've seen them on gunbroker sell for 1500ish but see them listed on local classified for around 1100-1200. However if the stock has very nice figure in the wood it can bring a premium for sure.
Thanks guys I appreciate the information. Where or how could I find out how many was made in each caliber?

I don't see production numbers on that link but pretty sure the .308 is only 1479 made. Its the rarest of all the one year classics. This is the nicest out of the box classic stock I've seen and it was on a 308 classic.

I have one in 7mag. Dont see it on list.
I think there was a few years before they started the one caliber per year in 81 that they called classics and chambered in quite a few different ones.
I called Remington not long ago and talked to a woman about my 7mag Classic and she told me it was made in 1985 and was in fact a Classic, same year as the 350. She then told me she was a little confused, .about that.
What would you say the value of the classic 222 NIB would be?
6mm Rem also.
