What would be a good starting point price/value of a H&R 45 Colt Classic Carbine? The specimen in question doesn't have the walnut stock set. It has a nice palletwood set which looks great with the case colored SB2 receiver.
Thanks, Dinny
Thanks for the amazing amount of information I have received.
probably because no one has seen one. do an advanced search on gunbroker and look for sold items. thats what i do for stuff i don't know offhand.
Blackfart ,will be chiming in with years of gunsmithing knowlege any moment now !
I have a Buffalo Classic in 45-70 "similar" to your rifle that I inquired on selling this spring. I bought it new, have the original case and sock that it came with and all that jazz. It is checkered walnut with a 32 inch barrel if I remember correctly and a Lyman globe front sight. I was told the value was around $300-350 so I never even took it out of the safe.
None sold recently and this is the only one up for sale on Gunbroker

https://www.gunsamerica.com/9779663...-INCH-CASE-COLORED-WALNUT-PRETTY-WOO.htmSo far only sold price I see is from 2008
https://www.gunauction.com/buy/8699808Looks like CDNN has them for $229 in April 2008. Wish I had seen that back then. Of course I still had 2 in diapers, 2 car payments, and the sucky pay job.
I have no experience with this model. this is all just Googlefu findings. Thought something might help more than nothing.
Excellent feedback!
Thanks, Dinny
