My small ring project fell thru due to a couple warped receivers. Got a LR action I can use. Anyone got a barrel or blank I can buy? Not looking to spend big bucks on a barrel for a hunting type build but what do you have?
What chamberings are you open to?
I have a couple 8mm barrels.
Got a heavy FN barrel, cal 30-06, which can be retreaded for LR Mauser actions. $100 plus CONUS shipping. Purchased from Atkinson on the AccurateReloading forum for a Mauser target rifle project which is not going to happen. Also have many other LR parts for the project including adjustable RH target stock, Paul Jager trigger, 20 MOA base, and Oberndorf bolt handle.
My large ring is at the smith right now getting rebarrel to a 6.5 Swede. The current 8mm-06 barrel will be available. I just need them to finish it.
1. 23” 7x57 1:9.5” blued with new recessed crown; good shooter, needs re-bluing.
2. 23” almost new (20 rounds) Norwegian, military profile, in-the-white, 1:12” .308 Win.
3. 24” A&M Rifle Co, blued, 1:10” 6mm Remington; needs a new crown, or at least to have crown cleaned up
Brownells has a short chambered 6.5x55 barrel in stock for 98.99
