Have a huge 1650 lot auction of ammo & accessories selling on Friday. All items sold to the highest bidder. Tons of hard to find ammo and much more. Have any questions just let me know.

Yeah, I have a legitimate question.
Why am I charged an additional 20% bidder fee for the privilege of bidding online ?

It's a typical added fee to online auctions to fleece the buyer so that the GREAT DEAL, turns into standard value.

Look at the prices they are already stupid high...

Five boxes, 100 rounds total, of PMC Bronze .223 ammo with 55 gr FMJ-BT bullets @ $95..

then you get to add another $20 and shipping to it. That ammo is only worth $10 a box, $25 a box is ludicrous.

ENJOY THE SALE GUYS!!!
Oh how I love this forum. I guess everyone that has a bad thing to say just works for free. The buyer premium covers the fee which Proxibid charges to host the auction. Do you think all the items jump in the box and package and label and get shipped with no employees? Advertising cost & this 8000 sq ft building and all pays for itself also?

Everyone can have a opinion just throw me in the same cause category at Larry Potterfield I guess.

Everyone else hope you enjoy the catalog and might something unique you have been looking for. Starts tomorrow at 10 am cst
Whatever happened to no commercial posts?
No seller fees?
Lots of nice stuff NTO. Free bump.

Looks like a commercial post to me... Super cowboy?
Thanks longshot.

Yes we charge a fee to sell. I was just passing this along has many things people are looking for. And it only sells for what someone is willing to pay no fixed price.

Thanks for posting it otherwise I would have missed it. Never know when a deal may pop up. Never hurts to look.
Not sure the rub here
No body makes a member open the thread
no body makes a member buy

and today maybe some ammo or equipment that is hard to find may be there

May make someone's hunt finding xxx ammo

I would think ultimately up to Rick if its a problem
I am sure if needed he would take care of the issue

Hank

Hank,
I'd have to agree with you.
Well said, Hank. Free bump for NTO...good luck with your auction as well.
GLWS, I myself am going to sell 20-30 guns and ammo at a auction house here in Indiana they also do the online and do quite well, That way I do not have to deal with people, pack, and ship. Worth the charge for me, also my kids will not have to deal with all of it hopefully later. Again GLWS
In the last few years I've came to like the on-line auctions. I factor the buyers premium into what I'm willing to pay as well as sales tax and travel to pick-up purchases... I've had nothing shipped and don't bid sales that are not a reasonable driving distance away ( but that's just me ). If there is an auction an hour or two away that has only one item that I want but is probably going to be in a price range that would warrant that far to pick said purchased item up, on-line is perfect. No need to drive that hour or two then spend hours sitting there only to be out bid instead bid on-line and if my bid wins, drive to pick item up. Easy-Peasy
Now if there's an item that I'm willing to pay X amount of dollars for , my top bid is going to be X with or without premiums and tax... I don't bid extra to cover premiums.

Back to the auction that's being discussed.... there are a number of items that I would be bidding on if the sale was close to me... for example, red dot at $4... bargain for sure.
Four lb cannister of red dot and a one pounder 1/3 full brought $6 plus $1.20 premium... best powder buy I've seen in a long time.
Thanks everyone! Was a good sale today. Yes there was some bargains even bought a few things myself I have been needing.
Well I'm glad you got some bargains at your own sale. Tell me, are you subject to the 20% buyers premium and the handling, packaging, and shipping fees ????
I like the auction method- I've had good experiences buying and selling. I like the upside potential- it's sometimes hard to know what an item is "worth", but if offered to a large audience and merchandised properly you can figure it's going to bring what the market is at that time.
I don't like the buyer's premium either, but I think that's life. You can't present an offering to an audience that size for nothing. Most critics have not been involved in the work and expense of doing an auction!
Well Wishbone if you must know yes we do. If a man owns the car dealership does he pay to have his oil changed at his own shop answer is yes because that’s what makes business operate.

Now they don’t have to be shipped I offer local pickup to everyone.
And even offer 3% discount if pay in cash because I don’t have to charge the card on local pickup.

Also these auctions are 100% consignments so it’s not like I am buying my own stuff.
Thanks Shoptom I agree most don’t know the behind the scenes of the auction business.
I have a friends that do this it is a family owned they work there butt's off. They are very good and that is why. Looks like you all had a good one and some good prices in these times.
