Recently picked up a Steyr Model L Varmint in .308. It was purchased new in 1980, single owner (the gentleman I bought it from had the original receipt from when he bought it). The rifle has been barely fired, both from what the previous owner said and from what I can tell. Maybe a box of ammo total ever shot through the gun. Blueing is in perfect condition, bore is a mirror, crown is pristine. The stock has some minor safe marks (pictured) but is otherwise clean as a whistle. Stock is original, and serial number on receiver, barrel, and stock all match. Previous owner kept a dowel in the recoil pad screw hole to keep the pad from deforming when sitting in the safe. The old boy took excellent care of his gear, it seems.

Vertical grip, large fore-end, hammer forged barrel. Bolt runs smooth as could be, trigger is glorious.

Included is a Leupold M8 10x (fixed power, thin wire crosshair) with the European quick detach mount, as well as 3x 5-round rotary magazines.

Two main pictures here, with more linked. I'm using a phone camera so the pics aren't perfect quality. If you want specific pictures of any sort, post or PM me and I'll do everything I can (I can text or email them if preferred).

Asking $1700 shipped. I'd be willing to ship in the pictured hard case for an extra $100 (I'll peel the sticker off before shipping if you want). Case has been well used, but is in great condition aside from normal use marks.

Morning bump! Will accept offers as well. Also, apparently I forgot to add in the link to more pictures, so it's here and now in the original post as well.

I'll take money order, venmo, or paypal friends and family. Subtly bumping with this.
What is the weight of the rifle with scope?
I'll weigh tonight and get you an answer in ~3 hours
Weight is 8#14oz as it sits. Barrel is 24.5" long, LOP is about 13 3/4"

Price drop to $1600 shipped, and I'll include the hard case for free.
Going to retract this one for the moment. I took it to the range today, and realized the scope focus is broken and it needs sent in for a rebuild. Will repost when that's done.
