Mr. Cottrill,

You might want to see a post put up by "BatMan" last night to understand the reason I am being badmouthed here.

I was not the subject of that debate, nor have I ever welched on a deal. I suspect it is against forum rules to post interfering remarks and cast unfounded aspersions against other members.

Business is business, and some of these old hosses just need to grow up. The member in question on the other topic did not take money from BatMan, wrote back to him saying he'd accepted another offer, and old BatMan decided to gripe about it to his ladies sewing circle of cronies.

I guess I made a mistake in giving an opposing perspective. The Seller did say to BatMan, (according to BM's report) that he "needed the money". The fact that the Seller did not ask BatMan to match the other offer seemed indicative to me that the Seller was sincere and acted honestly.

Maybe the guy was hurting for money?
Are guys coming here only for cutthroat giveaway deals?
Is BatMan's family not going to eat because he didn't buy the ammunition so cheaply? Pretty doubtful.

BatMan chose to question the guy's integrity; made a Federal case out of it; all because he didn't get his "deal of a lifetime".

You want to buy a good scope at a great price without any hassle or suprises? I have a few extras to sell.

Pretty damn sad that someguy has to suffer this kind of ridicule and public display because he was "in need". You really ought to read the stupid comments on that thread.

I am not interested in selling to people who are so cold-hearted they can't make allowance for someone who conducted himself honestly and said they were "in need of the money". Maybe Christian Principles Of Living only apply when they don't cost you something?

Pretty crummy for anyone to imply that I would backout of a deal, when the guys making the implications have never dealt with me. Yet, that's the Ladies Sewing Circle for you, always gossiping. (My appologies to all the legitimate Ladies sewing circles that do great work out there.)
Hogan- I dont mean any disrespect here, even though the scope you have is what Im looking for- Im not wanting to give that much for one yet. If you want to talk about the price of it, pm me.

Blake,
I will be coming through Pond Creek probably next weekend on my way to Medford. Would have been this weekend but if you looked outside lately I believe it may be a little slick just to come up and try to kill a coyote. I still have the Elite 4200 4x16x40 and am going to sell it. I could swing by and let you take a look at it if you like. It is basically like new with very light ring shadows from being mounted once. Have box and papers and would drop it off to you for $290 if you are interested let me know and I will throw it in when I come up from Piedmont. Thanks, Ryan
thanks guys- but I am getting indysteve's leupold off of him. Thanks for all of your help.

For the money, the Elite 4200 series are awesome scopes! You won't find brighter glass for like money.
