4SaLe - Mauser 98 in 338/284 - 10/14/21
long action and the barrel is throated to 3.130 and the cartridge fills the action nicely. Smith work was done by Mark Scaggs an excellent smith out of Oregon who has extensive experience with the 338/284. The barrel was trued and action and bolt face squared . Barreled action (5lb3oz) built on a Turk surface ground action and fluted 23in 338 barrel. Barreled action coated a matte black. Buehler safety, Timney trigger and FN style handle, barrel is Weatherby t/o with 10 twist. Birdseye maple thumbhole stock.
scope mounts will be left on, rear mount has some scuffs from issue getting ring on but doesn't hurt function. I colored it in some with a sharpie.
The Zeiss scope is NOT included. I could swap it for a Redfield Revolution 4-12x40 duplex scope for additional $$$.
I have RCBS dies and 100+ pcs of 284 Norma brass necked up to 338. Most of this is new, I had 100 new cases necked sized up and I received some brass from previous owner. I believe the barrel was new prior to me buying it and I put 10 rounds thru it (quick loads just to shoot it)
