Winchester Model 12

I believe this was a law enforcement/prison short barrel factory cylinder bore that was later sporterized by adding the Cutts Compensator contraption.

The good:

-Factory "cylinder" choke
-Crowe swing safety (these are hard to find and really nice)
-100% functional
-highly figured butt stock (non-factory)
-IC, Mod, FC tubes included

The bad:

-The Cutts Compensator contraption
-After market butt stock, IMO needs about an hours worth of rasp work, sanding and finishing.
-Fore end has a large crack in it (see pictures)


Shoot it as-is, part it out, or do what I had planned, chop the barrel, reshape and finish the buttstock, and glue the fore-end and add a barrel bead. An easy project!

I've looked the shotgun over carefully, there are no arsenal or other markings (besides factory).
