Bump for a great rifle. I bought one of these back in '93 and it will shoot almost anything into 1.5in. My first brand new rifle.
Thank you sir for the updated information

You’re very welcome
Price?
Ad says $2000.
Sweet rifle bump.
Are you interested in a partial trade? I have a extra kidney I’m not planning on needing. Bump

Hahaha
I’m not opposed to trades but cash seems to typically be easier.

I’ve been out of the black market organ trade for a couple years.
Wow I probably should not say this but it's a $400 rifle and the chamber job is worth $1,600?
…….to someone I bet it is! Rare indeed and I sold one of these in .260 Remington 5 years ago for just a little less than that! Great rifle and well worth whats being ask(IMO).

Supply, demand, condition, rarity, production numbers, etc. etc. etc.

Guns in this price range aren’t in some guy’s budget; and because of that, the valuation of them is out of their depth.

My apologies if you fall into that category.

You're right if it was 1993. I paid exactly $400 +tax for mine back when they were originally produced. If you weren't keeping up, times have changed, and the days of $500 rifles are disappearing fast unless you're buying a cheap plastic piece of crap.

You will probably never see another 7600 in 257 roberts produced. The OP asking price is right in line with today's prices.
It's a sad sign of the times..
Oh my
That’s a nice rifle, even if it’s not a 257.
Wow. Great rifle.
I done without a 257 Roberts for a long time...

Man I wish you had a pump 280 for me. If you come across one text me.
Morning bump and a little price adjustment…
$1950 shipped and insured for Sunday
Awesome rifle! Don’t see many like this, I would hunt the hell out of it if I bought it.

That’s how it deserves to be used… I don’t have the heart so I’m going to move it along to someone and let them decide how it spends the rest of its life!

Might be me but what the sense in owning then if you feel you can’t bring it in the woods?

Couldn’t agree more - that’s why it’s headed down the road.

Imagine being such a lowlife prick that you feel the need to crap on a guys thread. Clicking on a Remington rifle ad only to proclaim your dislike of them. Can't afford it is more like it.

Free bump for a sweet rifle. I hope you get every penny of your asking price.

Might be a long hard road....

You nailed it.
How about $1900 shipped

One in a carbine , the mortgage application is near the end of the page.
Sorry it's way to nice to hunt with, buy a $500 760 / 7600 and rebarrel it. Bring this out when you want to impress your girlfriends Dad or Mother.
Since a few have asked - trades considered:

Winchester: stainless 70 featherweight, 71, 64, 65, 1886, 42, 1890, 1906, 9422, 61, 62, 75 sporter, 52 sporter, signal cannon
Deluxe/special order lever actions
Smith and Wesson: early 63 or 57 with 8/38” barrel
Colt lightning 22lr, colt bullseye target
Remington model sevens with the early checkered walnut stock and 18” barrel
Tang safety Ruger 77rl (ultralight) or 77rls (ultralight with sights)

All you complainers that are destroying another and post should just let the add speak for itself. If he’s too high for the market then it won’t sell. If someone is willing to buy it they what business is it of yours. Why not show a little respect for a fellow enthusiast with a rare rifle.

Do you guys know what it costs to rebarreled a rifle now days?

But what would be the answer if they wanted to borrow it for a hunt? That's a tough one. GLWS bump and if it had been hunted with at least once it might have been gone already.
A NIB Remington 7600 in .257 Rbts. is worth EVERY penny the seller asks. When is the last time you saw one? I am a strange dude. I SHOOT what I collect and MANY disagree. If it were mine I would kill a buck with it, THEN retire it. If you quibble over the price or attempt to degrade the seller OR his offering, you can't afford it in the first place, than have the courtesy to say NOTHING. Good luck with your sale.
Thanks fellas
WOW...

If I had the bail money, I'd set that deer killer free.

Going on 30 years in a box!!!
Last call at $1850 shipped and insured
withdrawn for now
Sad to see whiners derail the ad for such a nice rifle.
FWIW. It seems someone locally just sold a 7600 in .25-06 for $2000.

^^^ THIS ^^^

Too many peeps in this forum think it's Twitter or Facebook and run-off at the mouth on a classified ad. You know who you are.......
SWEET and rare!! .... Wish I could.......
I’ve had a few pms asking if this one is still available - it has been sold.

Thank Christ.

I read every post hoping I would get the “I’ll take it.” Whoever bought this save some $1850 tonight. One hellova a beautiful rifle.

The people bitching about the price can’t afford it or don’t know what they’re looking at here.

Glad you sold your rifle.

But this was the funniest low key bitch slap I have seen in a while. You notice he never had a reply.

It was as stylish 'Flaveish' GFY.

I listed it on GB once the original posting here was soured.
It sold early for $2200 plus the ride.
There isn’t anything to debate or prove here - but the facts are simple to show if need be.
Merry Christmas!

Congratulations on your sale. A gun is worth whatever somebody is willing to pay for it. In this case it was worth $2200
