Was this gun imported by Weatherby from Japan or Turkey?

Not my gun but I am 99% sure these newer ones with the gold lettering on the side are imported from Turkey. I own an older one made by SKB from Japan. They look different.

Thanks... I have been shooting the gun for a few years now and have had zero issues... not even a failure to fire... Yes they are made in Turkey but if people would be honest, there are a lot of quality guns coming out of Turkey right now

Apologies for the delayed response. I can't find an import mark on the gun but I have been assuming that this was imported from Turkey as I've read that all the current Weatherby Orions are made in Turkey.

I have one. It's a copy of a Beretta 686. Made in Turkey & a darn good gun. I shoot Trap with mine & with over 2,000 rounds it has been flawless. Best money I have spent on a shotgun !!!
