I have a Savage model 24 22 LR/20 gauge. I believe this is what they refer to as the deluxe model. It is used but not cracks, major dings and still retains good case colors. Someone asked about the barrel stamping so here it is.

Any idea what the plugged hole is in the shotgun barrel in the above picture?

I had to get it and look. It is a factory hole and appears to be the retaining screw that holds the extractor in place for the 22 barrel.
