I’ve decided to part ways with this really superb Mark V Ultralight in .257wby. This rifle has been shot less than 100 times. It’s been in my possession since new.

I had the rifle professionally bedded and a new crown cut, which tightened up the group sizes from 3/4” down to 1/2” 3 shot groups.

This rifle is no longer made, and is really hard to find these days. I’d like $1825 shipped. Factory Trigger breaks cleanly at 3 LBS. Just the perfect rifle for your hunting needs.

26” SS Wby barrel made by Krieger
13-1/2” Factory LOP
7lbs5oz with leupold rings(included)

Trades are as follows:

Newer colt python 3” or 4”.

Kimber Select Grade - 25-06

Swarovski EL 10x40 or 12x50
I have its smaller brother in 25-06 . Beautiful handling rifles.
Sweet.
Very nice.
I had one of these about 20 years ago.
Had a stupid moment and let it get away.
I wish my 300 Win mag was a 257WM. bump for a cool rifle!
Thanks for the all the good comments.

Another trade would be a

S&W .41 Magnum SS in 4 or 6”.
Let’s try $1800 shipped.

I’d also consider a Rock River AR in trade.
Any specific model RR AR?

Worth a shot. It’s pretty much the opposite of what I have to offer. LNIB Predator Pursuit. Thank you.
Let’s bump this up. $1775 shipped. I’ll throw in a box of Sierra 117GR FB bullets.

Had one in a 280 and never shoulda let it go, but it went with the caveat that if it went up for sale, I had first crack. Was a dream to pack, and let's face it, they spend more time on our shoulders than anything else. I killed one elk with mine, but I sure loved it pursuing them.
Appreciate the good comments. Let’s make one final price drop. I’ll include a set of RCBS dies.

$1750 shipped.
Bump to top

Shoot me an offer I can’t resist.
I have a pair of 10x42 el's, but I have a 257 wm already, but I am soooo tempted....
I've always liked those.
Weren't the called super big game rifles, or some thing like that ?

That is similar but the metal finishes are different. You are referring to the Super Big Game Master.

I have the 25-06 Ultralight and I still have not found many rifles of that weight that handle like it does.
“Weatherby Mark V Ultra Lightweight” I do believe to be the proper name of his rifle. I was achieving just shy of 3650fps with a 100gr TTSX, which wasn’t the max load. The 26” barrel makes a huge difference.
Wow, this is a cool rifle. If I didn't have the Kimber Select 25/06 I bought on here I'd buy that from you. Love me a Weatherby.
PM sent. Thanks.
