WTS- Browning BAR Grade IV 1979 Unfired 7mm Rem Mag

$3800 shipped/insured to your FFL.

Newer Campfire member here. From Mississippi. Active on several forums with same screenname for 10-20 years and several friends told me I should post this here because the market is limited on local forum and I’m anti GB.

Grade IV was the highest grade they offered in 1979. I’ll never shoot it and it’s lived it’s life in a gun safe since I inherited it in early 2000’s. Was never in my wheelhouse so it’s just stayed buried. Oldest started college this year and second one getting ready to go, so I’m thinning the herd and freeing up some $.

Belgium made Browning BAR Grade IV by the Browning Arms Company of Morgan UT. Was made in Belgium. This attractive rifle manufactured in 1979 is chambered in 7MM Remington Magnum.

Full Disclosure- I did not write the following description of the engraving. I had researched this info online: The French grey receiver is engraved with two moose in a wooded scene on the left side and two running elk on the right side. The scenes are flanked by floral scroll engraving with a matte background. The top of the receiver is factory drilled and tapped for scope/sight mounting. The 24″ blue barrel was manufactured without sights and has the standard markings. The hinged floor plate is engraved with a floral scroll design. Gold plated trigger and mounted with a high gloss, nicely figured walnut checkered forearm and flat bottom pistol grip stock with a black rubber Browning buttplate and sling swivel studs. The checkering has floral carved and dot bordering

As I said above, I have had this since early 2000’s. I’ve always been into rimfire and wheel guns and this one just never was in my wheelhouse so I’ve left it set back for a rainy day. This rifle is in excellent/unfired condition.

More pics available upon request.

Sounds legit, especially that you copied the description online. GLWS and u haven’t offended me hoss, I’m not easily offended, there’s thousands of scams waiting to be sold to someone. Sorry I stepped on your mangina hoss.
Sorry to have offended you with my post Hammer. Would you have felt better if I said I wrote the description of the engraving myself. Pics are mine and all the other info. If your interested, PM me. Like I mentioned in my above post, while I’m new here I’ve got 2 decades worth or posts/activity on a 1/2 dozen other forums with my same screenname and will be glad to provide you with references.

edited: I'm thankful 2 other respected members from my local forum with high post counts and long time membership on this forum vouched for me below! And don't worry Hammer, My manjina isn't hurt. I scrolled through your post history and see your post on my thread was just about on par with your posts on other peoples threads.

Pretty Rifle!
Do you happen to have the original box?
Is the engraving signed?
Thanks,
Ed
one65r, consider listing on Guns International, they it down into different Browning catagories, $18 for the listing,
check it out.
Unfortunately I don't have the original box. Where would the signature be?
Typically somewhat hidden towards the bottom of design on either right and/or left side of receiver.
Not all factory engraved higher grade Brownings were signed.
Thanks, it’s in a safe at work. I’ll look closer tomorrow. I found one online that had the engravers name and it was back left side, towards the stock, over trigger guard area. They were asking 2x what I am 👀. I looked back at some pics I had taken and could not see one in that area. I don’t think it is.

Thanks for the advise bmw50. I’ve never used guns international. I’ve been boycotting gunbroker since about 2010.
Friday night bump!
I can also vouch for one65r he’s been on MS GunOwners since 2012.
Lowered to $3600.
