I wondered about that, I read where they drain them then wrap them in a thick plastic garbage bag and package then tightly and ship like normal.

Very cool. Pm me if the 026 is available
I've got a 461 I bought to cut up two trees. In a brand new Stihl case I bout 3 months ago because I just found out they were making big cases for them now. I have about 6 or 8 new RS chains 24 or 25 inch bar. Can't really remember. It's in fantastic shape

All pms are replied too, no deal made yet, Still looking.
I bought a Stihl170 new a couple of years ago for $159. They are either $159 or $179 depending on whether they are on sale or not. I really enjoy this saw as much as my 028 Woodboss.
Good Luck!

I bought a Stihl 066 with a 36" bar probably 12 years ago before I really knew what I was doing. It's way too much for what I needed. It has maybe 3 hours on it, and has been sitting since. I now have 2 Husquvarna 20" saws that I use now.
I think I have a saw or three I could spare:

Are you interested in adopting another son? I’d be happy to chip in for rent. Lol

Yes, there's a Poulan 5200 and 3800 in the family.
5200s are a beast and have a nice throaty roar in the cut.
The Poulan saw of old are nothing like the cheap Poulan saws on the market today.

We could be friends.
All pms have been replied to. It’s nice to find out that others enjoy chainsaws too.
As long as the fluids are drained and they can't 'smell' anything you should be fine.

They're in the rebuild queue.
To make it into the picture they need to run properly.

If the Ruger M77/357 is NIB, text me a price. My brother is looking for NIB.

Nice bunch of saws……..

Don't currently own anything over 6 cubic inches, but I'm still looking.
Run a 36" on the 066 and MS 660 and that really covers my needs.
The Homelite 1130G and the XP1100 gear drive saws wear 48" bars and can easily pull a longer bar, but they become tough to maneuver.
The rakers on the 1130G are set at .060" and I can bury the bar, set the dawgs, and do a two hand lift and still not load down the saw.

Those old saws are loud, slow and vibrate.
But they never quit pulling. Completely different then new saws.
Have some yellow 10-10s, use one as a pinch saw. Run it once in awhile
for fun. Brings back old memories, whole family ran yellow saws.
The nostalgia usually fades faster than the gas, grab a Husky and get
back to getting it done.

At at Leaha GTG one friends saw was staying easy with one of Leaha’s ported geardrive Macs.
Then he put 4 logs the same diameter straight across and the Mac cut at the same speed.

If a 044/046 ported has trouble I go right to the ported 084.
Looks like my 064/066 may be leaving.

The 090 Randy ported is for fun for folks to run at GTGs and on the Gulf Coast.
It is going to a friend soon. At 70 the 084 is enough.
Never found anything the 084 can’t handle.
A 66 mm 090G just didn’t get finished.

That really is a classy bunch of saws
I’d like to see a 090g some day, saw regular 090 at the Paul Bunyan show, they are big!

Up top
Look at a Makita especially the EA5000 & EA7900

I know they are supposedly being discontinued but sheesh what great power to weight they offer. I own both.

I’m only interested in stihl
Roger that
I have three Stihls that I bought when I was clearing the ranch property about 10 years ago and they have been sitting since that time. I'll have to dig them out but I think there are two shorter and one longer bar that is about 2' long.
